Meet Culinarychiqconcepts!

I was looking for some great fall finds to feature & stumbled across this little shop. These cozy little creations are contacted in Maine by a military wife and culinary student who aspires to open her own comfy lil place someday. Take a look around!!! See her blog here.

Let the creamy spicy scent of pumpkin pie waft through your home! (Pie candles are available unscented upon request) What a great scent!! I LOVE this candle!! It looks so pretty & yummy as well.

Tis the season for caramel apples! This 11oz candle is the size and shape of an actual Red Delicious apple with a scent that brings to mind a mouthwatering Autumn treat.

Halloween is coming and what better way to celebrate than with these adorable little ghosts. Put them out as is or melt them on a tart warmer and watch their little faces change as they move towards puddlehood! These melts are unscented but can be scented to smell like any other candle in this shop upon request. You receive 4 melts!! What a deal!

She's also accepting donations for a sick 8 year old Shih Tzu named Mugsy! Read the entire story HERE. I'll be sending my donation on Monday morning.

inherit one of these as your own.

I was rummaging around in the pounce section a few days ago & i ran across this shop. She has added a lot of new items! She has really neat jewelry. I thought you guys might like what shes creating.

1.) What is your name?

Angela Elizabeth(after my G’ma) Schmid

2.) Tell us about yourself.
Well, I live in Seattle Washington but grew up in a small town in the eastern part of the state (Moses Lake to be exact). I had the typical small town experience of life on the farm, 4-H meetings, county fairs, etc. I have always been a free spirited, adventurous person for the most part so I moved to Seattle for come fashion design school and haven’t looked back since! Currently I am working for Unionbay clothing company (small Juniors co.) and having a great time with it! I love to go to concerts, dance (mainly the robot), go to movies, read(not enough really), and just have fun with great friends. And I can’t forget I also love to spend time with my amazing boyfriend Nicholas and my sweet little kitty cat Sophie.

3.) What is the Url of your store?
www.inherit.etsy.com

4.) How long have you been a crafter?
Crafter… probably since the day I could pick up a pair of scissors. That is what you do for fun in a small town! Through 4-H you do all sorts of little crafts and activities so I was always doing something. Sewing was my main passion but since discovering jewelry that has taken a back seat.

5.) Please list the type of item( s) you sale.
RECLAIMED JEWELRY (necklaces which are my fav, earring, bracelets)!! I find all sorts of awesome second hand, maybe vintage, objects at thrift stores and recreate them into one-of-a-kind pieces by mixing in new elements.

6.) What / Whom inspires you to create?
Every piece that I find has some sort of history or story to it… a personality. That is really where the inspiration starts. History has always been really interesting to me so I think it naturally carries over into my point of view… Of course you have to keep it exciting and new so color and form are also big inspirations. Part of my day job is to stay on top of trends and popular culture so I am always researching new areas of inspiration.

7.) Why did you choose to create the items you make?
Because I kept buying interesting and pretty things at thrift stores and didn’t know what to do with them! And I have always made jewelry as a hobby so they naturally carried over as a creative outlet. It is funny since I design clothes for a living you would think that would be my outlet but in today’s industry you don’t get to work with your hands and you are always limited by what your customers (not you) want. I sit a computer all day at work for the most part so this is a way for me to get in touch with my handmade roots if you will.

8.) When did you start your store/selling the things you make?
I started selling to my work friends a couple years ago but I just opened my Etsy store!

CREATE a THOUGHT

I had the pleasure of running up on another great find! Her works are so cool! Aren't they pretty? You should check out her shop, the colors & the designs are bright, they*ll put ya in a good mood.

1.) What is your name?

Beth, but my store name is CREATEaTHOUGHT, I pretty much answer to anything, except ugly HEHE

2.) Tell us about yourself.
I am a 22yr old college student and part time worker at a hearing clinic. I consider myself both an artist and a writer. I am very eclectic in all that I do in both my life and my art.

3.) What is the Url of your store?
http://createathought.etsy.com

4.) How long have you been a crafter?
Feels like forever, but probably about 6-7 years. I love to be crafty and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.

5.) Please list the type of item(s) you sale.
First and foremost JOURNALS, handmade cards, pinback buttons, magnets, rings, and other random things.

6.) What / Whom inspires you to create?
A major inspiration is other artists on etsy, it is like WHOA people are super talented and colorful and the ideas are just amazing.

7.) Why did you choose to create the items you make?
I love to write, and I love fun and unique journals being available to writers out there. I want to be able to provide you with something that is not mass-produced. You will not have to worry about someone saying, "I have that same journal!" All of my journals are one of a kind I will never make the same journal twice.

I also sell many other fun and unique items (because I like making things, and like to try making new things at least once!) such as cards, purses, magnet, frames, prints, and many more! You can request personalized items at any time!

8.) When did you start your store/selling the things you make?
February of 2008, I hope to hit 100 sales by my 1-year anniversary!

Faerie Majikk & New Items

This is the beautiful work of FaerieMajikk. She says even though she is an adult she still finds a lot of wonder and magic in the world of Fantasy, as do a lt of us. It*s always fun to think about. She also says everything she does has been self-taught which is a great achievement, learning new things through trial and error is much more satisfying than being told what will and won't work even before they are put into practice. You can tell she loves what she is into & what she does with just one look at her art.

Fantastic Features For Wednesday.

L & B Accessories is a work at home mom of 2 awesome children & says "I love to design new things and play with fabric". As you can see she has an eye for the nice fabrics. I love the soft & bright colors she has to offer. Look at her wallets. They are so roomy! It is so hard to find a wallet with a lot of pockets. She photo's her items clearly in different angles to give you the 360* look. She also uses the contents in her wallet to show you the size of the wallets insides. Check out her shop & find something new for you or for your loved ones.

LexieJewel is an aspiring jewelry artist who enjoys taking photo's. As you can see she is very talented in what she does. You can find her items on LexieJewel.etsy.com or her website at LexieJewel.com. I*ve searched a lot and i have yet to see such a unique way to use sterling silver. I love the way focus of one color on the shiny elements of the sterling silver. It's beautiful. She does a great job at photo's too. They are very clear & detailed. Take a look around her site & see for yourself.

WOW! At first glace your already sucked in. Your eyes dance in a spectacle of color. It's so pretty! BLSoaps has a lot of info about their products. The soaps are handmade by the cold press method. BLSoaps says about her soaps "ahhh, it's like a little bit of heaven in one 4 oz bar". I believe it 1000%. I*m digging the colorful packaging too. The labels are bright & witty. The way the products are photoed you can almost imagine how they actually smell. I give this shop 2 thumbs up. If your in the market for some soap or lip balm you should slide in & slide out with a new favorite.
For those of you who are interested. Here are my new business cards. I opted for the vertical card. The cards are great. I*m thinking of getting post cards too. What will i use them for? lol bookmarks {Pff what book? jk! ;D } You can get these cards at Vistaprint.com. You can click the photo for the bigger picture. For some odd reason it looks fuzzy here. :/

These beauties are from Lyse from ImagineStudio.etsy.com. Her professional background is in visual and creative arts as well as in social work. She says this about her art "Layers upon layers of thoughts, emotions and research have been turned into transparencies, textures, colours, depth, emotions, portraiture's, etc.".
