Meet Culinarychiqconcepts!

I was looking for some great fall finds to feature & stumbled across this little shop. These cozy little creations are contacted in Maine by a military wife and culinary student who aspires to open her own comfy lil place someday. Take a look around!!! See her blog here.

Let the creamy spicy scent of pumpkin pie waft through your home! (Pie candles are available unscented upon request) What a great scent!! I LOVE this candle!! It looks so pretty & yummy as well.

Tis the season for caramel apples! This 11oz candle is the size and shape of an actual Red Delicious apple with a scent that brings to mind a mouthwatering Autumn treat.

Halloween is coming and what better way to celebrate than with these adorable little ghosts. Put them out as is or melt them on a tart warmer and watch their little faces change as they move towards puddlehood! These melts are unscented but can be scented to smell like any other candle in this shop upon request. You receive 4 melts!! What a deal!

She's also accepting donations for a sick 8 year old Shih Tzu named Mugsy! Read the entire story HERE. I'll be sending my donation on Monday morning.

I need some perspective...Can i have yours?

I'm getting back into the swing of handmade things. I was trying to find placess to advertise & showcase my items. I was wondering how everyone else gets there stuff out there? I know blogging is a GREAT way & it helps but other than that, how do you do it? I'd be so grateful if anyone could tell me their little secret. I know posting a different item everyday helps but sometimes i can't do so. I was just wondering. I'm in the process of taking new photo's & coming up with new items. I don't plain to post them all at once just trying to get a few different things rolling. I use my facebook page too but thats full of mostly local friends, how do you guys use this to your advantage as well?

FINALLY! I*m back (for good)

Hello again everyone! I*m back for good this time, i promise. Things have been really slow around here lately. I lost my full time job so i got a part time job at Bath & Body Works (love it!) & I*m still getting everything ready to go back to school. I was going to take summer classes but decided to put that on hold til the fall. I*ll be going full time when i start & i cant wait! I*m going to be a pastry chef. How exciting..

My cousin Chris got married to Heather on Saturday. It was beautiful & on the beach. I think they are the happiest couple I*ve ever seen in my life! They are curently in Aruba for their honeymoon & we pray they make it back safe.
I*ll be doing a feature this week as well so I*m off to find new talents! Whats new with everyone around here? I*d love to hear from you guys!

I'll be back soon!!

Hello there! It has been awhile huh? I just wanted to let everyone know I'll be adding some new items by the middle of next week. I'm gathering everything together to get up next week. I will be adding a few screen print designs. I'm playing around with screen printing & I love it. As always the items I put up are limited editions, some of the items will be back but some may not. I got rid of UniqueCharm.net. I'm open for advice on new promo's for the shop & help to get back in the swing of things, I'd love any input anyone would like to spare.

*NOTE: My paypal account got hacked so as of right now I'll only be taking personal checks & money orders as forms of payment.

A Day of Latte's

Today is going to be another long day & again, I*m not sleepy at all. I*m really excited more than anything. I*ve been sitting around thinking about different components & since I*ve got a job now i can get more stuff. MUAHAHA!! :D I find myself pondering in things that would usually scare me away. I*m ready for a change though. I*ve been on the zipper pouch kick because they come in handy, I*ve made myself & friends a bunch, so many that i had to oil my sewing machine. Speaking of zipper pouches, i got around to making one today. I*ll post it later this afternoon when i get home & take photo's. I*m running moms errands again in the morning at 8am while she works, then i have to be at Staples at 10:45am to fill out my paperwork & maybe do a little training. Ryan*s also going to give me my hours for next week, i think i have like 4 days? We went over it a little today when i went in to buy a bubble envelope & to give him the days i needed off :P He said "your not even on payroll until Friday & you come to me wanting 5 days off already?" I just smiled & he shook his head, he knows how i operate. I have the bands coming to Lake Donna on the 16th with the EMS Auxiliary team. Ryan said if he puts me in the copy center it will keep me occupied & since i talk to everyone i can talk them into stuff they dont need {he only half hearted meant that} to improve our monthly quota. Needless to say I*m going to need a venti white chocolate mocha from Starbucks to accomplish all that needs to be done today. Wish me luck!

New zipper pouch just listed

HEY you there! :P Before you leave, please take the poll? Thank ya!

SpookiePookie's On The Loose!

This is Maria, she is the owner of SpookiePookie. She has ragdolls, prints, key chains, & ACEO's. Her rag dolls really stand out though. They have that handmade touch & remind me of Sally from "The nightmare before Christmas". Maria has had custom order's like: Korn issues doll, Corpse Bride, goth dolls, doll with bat wings etc. So if your looking for an awesome ragdoll stop in to talk to Maria. She*ll have you covered. She is currently having a sale: Buy One Doll And Get A Free Art Print or Doll Keyring of your choice. What a cool gift idea too! Get to know her better, here is her interview.

1.) What is your name?
Maria but im pretty much known to people from my shop name which is Spookie Pookie.

2.) Tell us about yourself.
I am a 19 year old student. I was never good in school or pretty much in learning. I always thought of myself of being useless to everything besides art. Thats why i believe that im really good in what im doing. In most of what im doing im self-taught, i hate tutorials, guidance, or any kind of rules. I am open for advices that have to do with my art and ofcourse im open to critisizm. I write horror stories based on my dreams, i sew dolls, make doll keyrings, I write lyrics and poems depending my mood, I love to sing, I love to dance random songs that might make me feel like moving, I am also a photographer and an inexperienced model. I like to draw, sketch and paint, although i still need to improve those skills. Mostly the only thing that keeps me going is my man and our bunny. The loves of my life. I'm cynical, i mostly hate people, im antisocial, im usually enraged, hot blooded, worried easily for everything, pissed off easily, annoyed, pretty sensitive with certain subjects, highly insecure and easily stressed. Oh yes and.. when i say i want to kill someone, i truly deeply mean it. I dont forgive easily, especially people that will try to hurt my man or my baby bunny. For the ones I care for im the cuddliest, warmest and loving person that you can find, for the others... they should better stay away. I'm currently studying graphic design.

3.) What is the Url of your store?
http://www.spookiepookie.etsy.com
http://www.myspace.com/spookiepookie

4.) How long have you been a crafter?
Crafter? if crafting includes any kind of art then since high school. If crafting includes only my dolls then its been almost 2 years that ive started.

5.) Please list the type of item(s) you sale.
Rag dolls, business card designs, doll key rings, photo prints and note cards.

6.) What / Whom inspires you to create?
My man, my nightmares.

7.) Why did you choose to create the items you make?
I can only speak about my dolls at that point. I starting making them in need of money and for something more to put in my portfolio for the university at that time. I thought what i could make and ragdolls came into my head. Thus, i made a few for the portfolio and then after i started to selling them, althougn in the start i wanted to keep them for myself. But i was truely in a need of money and i also wanted really bad to start selling dolls to people.

8.) When did you start your store/selling the things you make?
I honestly cant remember when I started my shop. But i remember i think that i found my first buyer on December, one year ago.

Show The New Ones Some Love

I went to sign the papers on the car this afternoon. I got it!! yay!! My mom went with me & we went for a drive after everything was said & done. She said "i dont know why you need something this fast, stop playing with the cd player! look at the road, slow down!" I*m not so sure about her but i had fun. Now.. All i have to do is get a job, & do so before everyone gets outta school. I may look for a full time desk job, that way i can exercise my etsy addiction. Speaking of which..

I made some sticker*s today! When i got home to my surprise i had made a sale. I re listed those then off the bat made some addicted to etsy stickers & posted them up. They sold after the 3rd view. I re listed the stickers i sold this morning & i also made a new set a few minutes ago. I must say i love photo shop & all its greatness! See the newbies...
