How was everyone's weekend?

I feel like it's been forever since i last posted, i haven't had time to do anything but breath & the task at hand the past few days. Candace got married on Friday, YAY!! It was beautiful & it didn't rain as it looked like it would. We had a lot of fun & went out to the reception & ate & danced around. I forgot my camera so all i had was my phone camera. I just have time to do a quick post, but how was every ones weekend?? I wanna know! I feel so outta the loop :(

Hello Elegance!

Ok, i lied...I relisted the "Elegance in Periwinkle earrings" today! They're so pretty i couldn't help it! I also made myself a pair this time. I made another pair of elegant earrings too but my laptop wont read my camera card so i will have to post those tomorrow when i get home from work.

These earrings are gorgeous! These are sterling silver earrings on sterling silver ear wires. Encrusted with crystallized Swarovski crystals.

On another note, I'm doing a giveaway!! I'll be doing one EVERY month until Christmas. I'm planning to try to do a big one for Christmas. There are a few different ways to get extra credit for the giveaway. I*m excited about it & i know you guys will love it!

The longest day of the year

This has definitely been the longest day of the year, Anyone else feel this way. How has every one's day been? I've been a little busy the past few days with the wedding cake. I used my brother's jeep ( no good on gas! ) to take the wedding cake to the beach on Saturday. So I took him his keys back & chatted with him for a few minutes. I also took some time to drop in the book store while i waited for Rachel to wake up. I found an interesting book called "Toxic Psychiatry". I must admit the brightly colored pills on the front cover intrigued me so i took a look. It seems interesting, but I'm only on page 9. I've got to sign up for my fall classes & I've been thinking a lot about it today. I love pastries & making cakes but I'm also interested in things that include the human body, brain, & medicines. I was also thinking about taking some pharmaceutical classes in case. Pastry class is 2 years & it pays awesome but i cant decide but i need to sign up for classes. I'm going to finish watching the Family Guy & I'm going to bed after i watch "Neighbors From Hell" =o) i love cartoons!

Elegance in Periwinkle

I listed these beauties today, I think they’re gorgeous! I made a pair for a bride to wear on her wedding day in a few weeks & she fell in love with them. I’ve heard she hasn’t taken them off yet. They’re my favorite color too, Periwinkle.

I'm so proud of those little guys. I*m till working on some designs for the new project. I went to the craft store yesterday to look around & waist some time & got a ton of new idea's. I*ve gotta figure out if my favorite design is actually do-able. I*ll keep you guys updated. I plan to start on 1 of those designs this Friday. I've got a few days off work to do a wedding cake this weekend. So the new designs will be going into a new shop on etsy but I think to gain attention i'll post them on my blog before they're up for sale. Keep checking in!! ;D

New Project **coming soon**

I*ve got a new project I*m going to start working on here in the next few weeks.I*m getting some designs together so each will be as unique as i can make them. I*m excited about it, I*ve actually picked up a few supplies today.

I*m trying to save money for my pastry chef classes in the fall (student loans suck) so i got my job back at Staples. I*ll be helping the lead in the copy center & I*m also working part time at Bath & Body Works (our semi annual sale starts June 11th!) I*m trying to save money & it*s so hard, anyone else have this problem? I*ve decided to take on another project, if im not at the mall looking at things then i wont want to buy anything.I*m also still doing wedding cakes. I have 1 to be at the beach coming up June 20th. I had a lady call for a consiltation today for sometime in 2 weeks. I love baking & making things, specially when i can put them both together.

FINALLY! I*m back (for good)

Hello again everyone! I*m back for good this time, i promise. Things have been really slow around here lately. I lost my full time job so i got a part time job at Bath & Body Works (love it!) & I*m still getting everything ready to go back to school. I was going to take summer classes but decided to put that on hold til the fall. I*ll be going full time when i start & i cant wait! I*m going to be a pastry chef. How exciting..

My cousin Chris got married to Heather on Saturday. It was beautiful & on the beach. I think they are the happiest couple I*ve ever seen in my life! They are curently in Aruba for their honeymoon & we pray they make it back safe.
I*ll be doing a feature this week as well so I*m off to find new talents! Whats new with everyone around here? I*d love to hear from you guys!

Never A Dull Moment.

I showed up to mom's house this morning for work to find my dad on the couch with the T.V on asleep. Mom told me to check my phone because she left me a voice mail { i usually jam out in the morning - or any time for that matter} telling me not to come she rescheduled everyone for Monday. Dad was up all night throwing up blood again. This started happening a few months ago & his doctor's or his specialist have no idea why. They have ran every kind of test that is possible to run & all they know is that he is bleeding from somewhere but they can't find it. He is a diabetic, {as is 85% of my family on his side} he has suriousis(?) of the liver, {from all those nights of wild parties before my brother & i arrived} & because he is bleeding he has to take a fluid pill. You can tell when he misses his fluid pills because he gets really puffy. Dad doesn't like going to the doctor when something is wrong {but has no problem going for check ups} so he wont go to the doctor but made a deal with mom if he didnt feel any better by the morning he*d go. I feel we can talk about these things, after all - we are all family right? ;P

As for Unique Charm listings & adds i will be adding 2 items tomorrow because i didnt add anything for Friday. I love gloomy rainy day's {I*m just weird like that i guess} so i decided to make the best of it. However on the way home this morning Justin called & made me even more upset with one of his rants {nothing serious} so when i got home we had a 20 minute convo about the ordeal then took 2 seconds to solve. {all he had to do was listen to me for 2 seconds & it would've saved us 20 minutes} He went to work, I had a panic attack & took half a xanx then took a nap. I woke up to my ridiculously loud ring tone {Jason Mraz "Wordplay" - you should sample it} asking if i wanted to go with him to find a bow tie because everyone at the wedding {his drummer is getting married tomrrow (CONGRATS BILLY & LIZ!!!!)} will be wearing a tie. {my brother loves to switch it up} So when i got to his house i was greeted by ___ Bear {names have been changed due to unappropriated content lol - why you*d name your dog after certain male parts are beyond me} LOOK AT THIS DOG! {the dog was born without hips. So my brother has signed him up with a vet school (NSU vet. School) for a hip transplant when he gets a little older so he wont hurt} Isn't he adorable? For those of you who have been here a few times always want photo's of the family or anything really. So i took a photo of my brother for you ladies. lol He is the only person i know who can buy a tie & get hit on. The lady looked at him while he was sliding his card for conformation(?) if i was dating him or not so i shook my head & she looked at him licked her lips & said "You going to a wedding?" He said "yes ma'am" {being loud in a fake aussie accent} so she asks if he has a date & she is off tomorrow. lol then he proceeded to tell her he didn't think his blushing bride would to happy. {still in his fake aussie accent} He topped it off with a tip of his hat & a "G-day". lol I love my brother. Sugar Rush!

I*ve been asked to do a wedding cake for my best friend's brother. She wants a simple white 3 tier cake with white fondant. She told me she also wanted little plastic butterflies. I want the cake to look elegant after all it is for her wedding. So I*m thinking of doing more gum paste / royal icing butterflies. I*ll show you pictures after it's all finished. I made another wedding cake last year that was baby blue & chocolate brown. The guys i made it for had the BEST flavors stuffed inside. I lost all my photo's of that because my computer crashed not long after. hehe Anyone that knows me knows i didn*t keep back up. Do now! Anyhoo they had a homemade (grandma's recipe) white cake mix brushed with amaretto liquir & under each cake that layered i did a cannoli cream. It was delicious! I had never met them but talked to them over the phone & threw a friend. I dropped it off at the location of the reception & told the best man that if they didnt like it to please contact me & i wouldn*t cash the check. (it was only my 2nd wedding cake i wanted to be fair.) I was told the wedding was over at 8pm & the reception got underway soon after. At 9:30 i got a call from both men telling me to run to the bank right now because it was the best cake they*d ever stuffed in their faces. :o)

lol You might be wondering where I*m going with this.. I didn*t realize how much i missed playing in cake, flour, icing, & sugar! I*m a little bummed i have to sit this semester out of school. No one dropped outta the classes i need. I*m going to try to get my Math & English classes done so i can fall into it next semester. Be prepared to see ALOT of cakes in the future.

Now that I*m thinking of this too...I*m certainly not going to eat all this cake! I may be shipping out samples. I*ll keep ya posted. :P

No new crafts as of yet. We have been saving up to go to Washington D.C for the weekend. Woohoo!!

Consignments & bomberman

I*ve been a little distracted the last few days. So i finally got my beads today & i got a few wrong ones. But i made something out of nothing. I got the purple lamp work beads like my pink ones, except they only look purple in the lighgt they*ve got a slight mocha tint to them. I pulled a few things together, the beads i need to make the earrings i was sending off for consignment got all messed up & i only used the purple lamp work beads. I threw a color combo together too. I LOVE them! I just hope they are what people are looking for. They*re for a wedding / flower consignment. What do you think? Will they make the grade?

I played Bomberman today for a little while, I played with Justin for like 2 days straight now. I unlocked some of my new outfits. :P It*s only right though, i*m a little angel in a white robe thing & I*ve got a normal face with a little white / pink star on the side of my eye & since it*s "Bomberman" I got the army helmet. :P I*m ready! lol i think it*s cute, everyone was talking to me this afternoon telling me how much personality my character had. What can i say, its what i do?
