New For Tuesday!

Good afternoon everyone! I*ve added a new piece to the etsy shop, did anyone else add anything new? I wanna see! I always shop through the year for Christmas, birthday, & anniversary gifts. Which reminds me, I need a gift for my cousins wedding shower next month. Anyone got anything? They are a couple that grills out a lot, they have 2 bloodhound dogs that they treat like babies (theyre both in the wedding).

Perfect day for Christmas Shopping.

Today is COLD! It*s awesome, i love it. I woke up early this morning to get some projects underway & do some Christmas shopping. Justin & I went to bed early at 1am this morning. I woke up at 9am & did some things on the website i wanted to do & went to get Justin & I Breakfast. I woke him up at 11:30am. I also did some shopping. Since this malls are crowed i decided to do so online. So, i bought my mom a new purse with the accessories. I also got my brother a watch since he loves his watches. I found one at Fossil.com that is PERFEKT for him. I also got Justin a watch too dad got one as well. I don't really know what to get family because they haven't really asked for anything so i go upon what they like.

Then there is dad who also like the classic simple look but he likes all his watch faces to be black. {exactly why i thought of getting him a burnt orange one :P}

I casted a new resin piece, i used different elements to see how well things would go. If all goes well you guys will be seeing it tomorrow up for grabs. I was wondering, what kind of incentives are you guys holding for the preparing of Christmas sales. Is there any other forums you guys use to get out there? Maybe i should try some of these things. I*ve yet to advertise offline too. I*ve been to busy these last few weeks to concentrate on making fliers & different things like that. I*m trying to get ready for the box sampler & other promo swaps. If you guys could leave comments it would be helpful. :P Oh...& i have an idea, so please help me & take the poll?

My 2 cents..

With my 2nd venture into resin, i casted a few things that didn't make it. *R.I.P* innocent little teddy grams! I did however make a pendant. I thought it wasnt going to turn out because i was looking at it through the bottom of the mold & it looked a skewed, maybe because i didn have in my contacts..hmm..now i wonder if i was looking at it at all? tehehe!! I call it my 2 cents pendant. The star pendant includes 2 really shiny pennies & some red & gold glitter. I thought it would enchance the color of the copper pennies. The star pendant is 1.5" from top point to bottom point & a little shy of 2"w from left point to right point. It*s so cool! I*m really proud of this one, as it is my first try at embedding items. I think resin & i are going to be really good friends. I*ll be adding it soon to etsy but as of right now it can only be found at www.UniqueCharm.net.

Resin & redecoration

So i tried some resin casting last night, i was so excited to see how it turned out. Although i knew it would probley bomb because this was the first time I*d ever tried it & i eyeballed the measurements. All day i thought about how they*d turn out, or if they*d even come out of the molds. When i got home i ate & i decided to try my hand at taking them out. To my surprise it was really easy. Thus another set of hair pins where born. I made a few sets so therefore i kept a set for myself. I tried casting somethings a little while ago but it seems i need more practice with that because they didnt work. BUT i did make a new batch of something :X :P You*ll see tomorrow night if all goes well.

As for dad, {thanks to everyone who commented!} he is out of the hospital as of last night & he is no longer bleeding. They changed the bands on his esophagus. He is supposed to go every so many months to get them reset & to get new ones & he was coming up on another appointment so they just went ahead and did it. They still do not know where the bleeding is coming from, but they also found he has restless leg syndrome that is why he never sleeps. Mom did her redecorating for fall yesterday as well.

It's A Piece Of Cake

Justin & I didn*t sleep good at all last night. His tummy hurt so he tossed & turned all night & he kept waking me up. I didn't feel good yesterday so when i got home from work so i layed down & watched tv. I didn't really do anything. I*ve got a sinus infection. guhhh. BUT i did get a lot of goodies yesterday, that i turned into awesome treats for you guys! You can find all 4 on UniqueCharm.net. I*ll be adding them to UniqueCharm.etsy.com within the week.
